Alex Eala expected to play in Strasbourg Grand Prix as qualifier

Alexandra “Alex” Eala is expected to compete in the Strasbourg Grand Prix as a qualifier, with the main draw set to begin on Monday.

According to the WTA website, the list of qualifiers also includes familiar names such as France’s Elsa Jacquemot, Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova, and Poland’s Magda Linette.

Eala is coming off a Round of 32 exit in the Italian Open last Sunday, where she fell to world No. 2 Elena Rybakina. The Filipina ace and partner Hailey Baptiste also bowed out in the first round of the doubles event against Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova.
